Position and Responsibilities:

Assist the Production Manager in ensuring that the CAD/FAB process results in a product that meets or exceeds the customer's requirements. Assist the Production Manager with the daily Production Planning of work orders. Set up the scheduling of material procurement, processing of material, fabrication and painting of structural & miscellaneous steel. Assist in the maintenance of Global Shop Solutions scheduling software database. Supervise and coordinate material procurement with purchasing to meet requirements of fabrication sequence plans based on construction schedules and shop requirements. Interpret specifications and blueprints as needed for recommended process, improvements, and potential cost impacts. Work from sequencing plans that provide a consolidated work sequence, budgeted hours, and required fabrication and delivery dates. Create cut lists to optimize machine use and efficiencies. Ensure continuous improvement of the company's employees through development planning. Organization and electronic storage of fabrication documents, data and files. Qualifications: Receives direct supervision. Performs administrative or technical responsibilities. Contributes to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques and procedures. Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures. Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager. Skilled specialist or recent college/university graduate. 2+ years Role specific skills and experience required. Experience with Tekla EPM Preferred Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations.
