Hexagon Agility Install Technician in Fontana, California

Hexagon Agility, a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions, is driving the energy transformation in the transport sector. Our technology enables hard to decarbonize segments – such as trucks and buses – to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives.

We are currently seeking an Installation Technician based out of our Rialto, CA facility.

Essential Duties

  • Confers with liaiso n personnel to determine installation priorities.

  • Reads standard work and engineering specifications to plan installation of systems.

  • Some travel may be required .

  • Bends stainless steel tubing for fuel lines.

  • Verifies symmetry of structures, using measuring instruments.

  • Sets and aligns components to specifications and engineering drawings.

  • Fastens components per specifications, torque, and use of measurement tools.

  • Performs standard installation procedures, perform s rework, and repair on manufactured equipment and products.

  • Apply basic mechanical assembly skills.

  • Other duties as assigned 

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Candidates should have 2 years related mechanical as sembly experience preferably an aut omotive or hydraulic mechanic.

  • Must have very good understanding of fastening systems, torque, measurements tools and other assembly techniques.

  • Must know how to use different tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in a particular area of a production line.

  • Must have previous experience/ability to read engineering drawings.

  • Previous tube bending and fabrication skills is a major plus.

  • Can operate a fork lift if needed, as well as an overhead crane.

  • Previous welding skills are a plus.

  • Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper PPE is required, steel toe boots and safety glasses are mandatory at all times, ear protection must be worn when necessary.

    Physical Demands:

    The employee must frequently li ft and/or move up to 50 pounds, be able to get up and down from under a truck, and occasionally climb a ladder when needed.
