The Lawn Care Specialist/Laborer will work with mowers, leaf blowers, weed eaters, shovels and other common tools to create and maintain carefully manicured outdoor spaces.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to follow instructions; perform work quickly and efficiently with excellence of work. 
• Ability to walk, stand, crouch, lift (50 lbs.+) and carry out strenuous physical tasks. 

• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engines, and heavy equipment. 

   

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in lawn care and maintenance.
• Experience in handling chemicals and a solid understanding of the safe use of pesticides.
• Manuel dexterity, physical strength, and stamina.
• Attention to individual and team safety.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

LAWN CARE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Mowing grass.
• Maintaining gardens and flower beds.
• Seeding and fertilizing lawns.
• Performing routine checkups on client's yards/property.
• Trimming hedges and trees.
• Maintaining aesthetic appeal of client's gardens, yards, and outdoor areas.
• Applying pesticides and preventing weed growth.
• Use mowers, weed eaters, and common hand tools to trim grass, edge lawn areas, and maintain nearby plants and foliage.
• Operate leaf blowers and gather grass and hedge trimmings for removal.
• Drive a truck to various locations and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SNOW RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Perform snow and ice removal and management services to territory assigned.
• Ensure trucks and equipment are properly cleaned and serviced and ready for the next storm. 
• Ensure all plow markers are cleaned up and returned to WLSM. 
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned up and returned to its proper storage area. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.
